they are expensive to mod.....everything has to be shipped in from uk or japan. go to the skyline forum. i think its called the gtr register, even guys in the uk have a hard time getting parts for them.

it takes $$$$$ but the end result is surely going to get u front page of ricer mags.

That analogy is terrible. So if I might as well get a Mustang since some skylines are RWD should I just get a WRX since some Skylines are AWD?

i like the looks of the 34's, they are very rare vehicles, they have one of the most stiff chassis as far as imports are concerned and the AWD system is awesome. It sends power to the rear wheels until it senses them break traction, than it sends the power to the front wheels. Similar to the R32's AWD system.

I know there is plenty of potential in these cars however, but thats the case with tons of cars.

but seriously though, what makes these car SO DAMN COOL? When ever someone posts a pic of a Skyline its like some kind of God/Goddess.
Is it their looks? Is it their performance? Is it their rarity in the U.S.? I am seriously perplexed at the interest in these cars. I mean, yes their nice, but not as damn nice as 95% of people make them out to be. I can name dozens of cars from all different areas of origin across the globe that look better and perform better, yet get half the recognition. I just don't understand.
Reasons they are sought after (no particular order)-

1) AWD

2) 2.6L I-6 Twin Turbo, with a block capable of 1000hp... STOCK

3) Sexy

4) VERY rare

5) VERY respected car, very capable of mods for Drag, Drift, and Road Racing

Thats just a few off the top of my head. Its like a Supra, only A LOT more rare, and with AWD.

Just got off the phone with the owner. This particular car was imported legally by Motorex in 2001. I thought it might be the one on the Bridgestone poster "Track Meat", but that car is in Washington State. Owner is real nice and straightforward......there are now three people seriously interested in purchasing. Anyone want to lend me an extra 15K??? I make good money, but damn I refuse to be car poor....lol. Is that new ZO6 out yet?
