Should have used some aircraft stripper and a nylon bristled brush. Much less work.

but u cant see it.
and ill use some good paint,
main thing wsa getting the lips perfect.
now i no why who had them before i did put paint on them,
lips were badddd!.

600
800
and 1000
wet sanding
then never dull the hell out of it,
thenn hot rims polish

 

I would have just stripped them and repainted. I hate polished wheels though, so there's that.
