NGR Type S BOV
i had a diverter valve and i wanted more of a bov sound instead of the diverter valve sound. thats why i got it. and for $130 it works great. and it seems to seal better (getting 21-22 vacuum at idle sometimes, before the best i ever got was 20)
honestly i just got tired of people thinking i just had a focus with an exhaust cuz they didnt hear the bov.. haha

ive heard about it a ton..
thats the reason they stopped making the type s.. well that and they lost the rights to the design which is why there are so many on ebay with similar designs..
the greddy type rs is supposed to be better, but the sound is a lot diff
either way the NGR Type S has better sound IMO than either of them. the greddy type s recirculated doesnt sound nearly as good as the ngr type s recirculated

You wanted people to hear your BOV so you recirculated it? Sounds like a dumb idea both ways to me?
i have a feeling that all the hype from that syncronic BOV is produced SOLELY on the makers of it, spreading word of it , ....nothing more....but i cant say from personal experience...

And like anything else, if the racing world (probably WRC in this instance) hasn't latched onto a turbo system component and refined it to within an inch of its life, it probably isn't worth doing. I know that's a lame argument for anything, but most things trickle down from motorsport down into street cars, not the other way around.
i personally know no one with it, just have read some things.
A BOV is a BOV. MAF-equipped cars just need a recirc BOV. Easy. Same thing, just different output port for recirc. Hybrids are a little of both, they don't mess with the MAF calculations as bad, but there still isn't anything better than a recirc unless you like ricey BOV noise.

exactly. a recirculated bov is a diverter valve bc it diverts air back into the intake piping.
the ngr type s can be used either way. and mine sounds like a bov while it is recirculated, thats why i love it.

So it's a hybrid BOV probably. I've never seen one, I'm just guessing.
no its a bov that i recirculated. a hybrid valve does both, recirculates back into the intake and blows off into the atmosphere. most of thoese are adjustable as well.
i know turbosmart has one and i think forge motorsports does too..
but either way NO the ngr type s is a bov that can be recirculated. like the greddy type s, type rs, hks ssqv, etc. cept all of those have a muted sound when recirculated. not the ngr type s.
heres a pic of how i have the hoses on mine.
