Jetski FS - $3600
I'm not saying one is better than the other. The SeaDoo's do have a noted failure rate though for the clutch washers on the superchargers, but it's a problem easily fixed by replacing the stock ceramic ones to the newer metal ones. The new X models have metal ones already, so they've done a little bit about it. I would just as soon get a Yamaha as I would a SeaDoo. I would like to get one of the last year 08 GPR's before they quit making them this year. Only thing is the 2-strokes don't get as good of gas mileage, it's not horrible mileage, but it is noticeably less than our 4-tec's, but it's no big deal.
Supercharged SeaDoo's get out of the hole faster than the Yamaha 2 strokes, but the GP's are notably some of the best out there, they can be very fast. I have no doubt this ski would walk down my RXT up top. It's a nice ski.
I don't think any ski is more prone to maintenance than another, it all depends on how you take care of it like a car really, unless it's a know factory defect I don't think it'd be a problem.
I mean shoot, I'd buy this ski if the fiance' would let me lol. I would mind getting a 2 seater to play around with so she can stop yelling at me for trying to mod our 3-seater. Actually, let me ask the wifey now hah.
Anyways, point was, this ski is nice. I'd buy it.
