Looks like it to me. I dont recall the lic plate being mounted in that location but then again I didnt specifically look at where the rear plate was mounted to begin with.


Umm, why? Affraid one of those 100lb+ parts would get blown out of the bed? FYI everything was tied down with ratchet straps and the cover was snapped down so no air could get in there anyway.

Personally, I think its pretty ridiculous to throw the JC Whitney/Advanced Auto Parts accessory ( ) catalog at a car, slam it on the bump stops, take the front bumper cover off, and call it a "race car". At leat put a FMIC, functional or otherwise, on it to have a reason to take the front bumper cover off.

i have made many a trip up bent mtn hauling ass in a truck before. as long as you know that ratchet straps are your friend, you are ok.


the woman and i were coming back from roanoke one night after going down to haul a car for SRT4Hokie, and i was in the dodge (01 2500, CTD24v, 3" straight exhaust and resonator removal) pulling a 18' lowboy. i was coming up the mountain about 45mph, and this dodge truck was in the other lane. so, i went around him, and he was kinda cool about it, messing with me by revving and such when i was next to him.....yet when i was pulling on him, and he looked over and saw the trailer next to him, he got pissed and floored it.

so, i dropped a gear and smoked him out. he finally got around me at the top of the hill, cause i do not go more then 60 in the straight stretch by the church and fire dept, since the popo loves to sit there.


thought it was funny. or the time i was hauling my lift back from Cosmo's shop, and i had one tie down holding that fucking heavy bitch to the trailer. never came under 40mph, and the thing never moved.
