have you had any work done by them? or do you speak from internet expertise....? I have been dealing with his shop since feb 1999. He warrantied a temp gauge that came in a car i bought from someone else, 1 1/2 later!

I never said he was cheap, but he made a helluva name for himself working with the fd, worldwide!

As for DR. ON POINT...you sound like you are 16. I wouldn't talk to you at the track either, and i am a nobody! Its not because you are young, but i am not there for happy hour. Go to Geogre Leannue (sp?) trailer at an event. They won't even acknowledge you exist-

FB? He only works on FD's? So what would you expect?

IMO, PFS is a good shop if you have an FD. If you are looking for someone to work on rotories in general- I can recommend a few other shops. I know people who specialize in MG's powered by rotary~

I've seen other cars that he's worked on.. FBs and FCs... Besides, You would think working on a carb'd turbo FB would be easier than working on an FD.. same basic engine principals, more underhood space, better cooling, etc...

But, on that note, I HAVE found a good shop for work.. He's right down the street from PFS. Brett at Rotary Performance...

I have no experiance with them. Heard good things though. There website sucks.

I too have seen cars PF worked on, just not with a 5k budget. Not knocking your finances...just saying-

Since you seem to be up on rotories, does japan star carry TII swaps? I have an FC sitting here i am thinking of putting an s5 TII in? Thanks-

SORRY FOR THREAD JACKING

I don't know anything about Japan Star, but I do know that I saw a RUNNING TII sitting in a junkard off of Route 1 a couple weeks ago.. Looks like he slid into a pole....

why would i bring my FC to him when i have a guy just down the road, that raced FCs and knows the car inside out, have a great reputation both from personal experience and word of mouth, that i have great confidence in?

i bet if i call him and ask if he can do a TII swap on my FC he would just hang up on me

there's a lot of rotary guys in the DC metro area, many of them FD guys. When you look at the flow of information between them on rx7club, a lot them either do their own work or take it to other shops in the area, and curiously PFS have rarely, if ever, been mentioned as a recommended source for FD guys.

whether that's the internet feeding upon itself in creating reputation, i don't know, i just say it like i see it

Im 20 buddy. I have been working on cars for a while now. A lot of people on this board know who I am, what I have accomplished and what I have had my hand in building. What the fuck are you talking about happy hour for? The guy is a jerk, plain and simple. He is extremely rude and arrogant, and to be honest he isnt the most knowledgable guy. If I can stump him about flow dynamics, there are plenty of people more knowledgable than him. I did this as a hobby, I am not pathetic and made it my life. The only reason he is here, is because he couldn't make it in Europe. Who the hell is George Leannue?

George runs the "StreetGlow" cars-

Damn..you know your stuff don't you Gee...here i thought he came from New Zealand, with countless victories in rally and road racing? And what does he know, he is only an engineer (aircraft), who built a 9 sec FD in 1999..... But he isn't knowledgeable-
Maybe you should read some of his background and accomplishments.

ZoomZoom-

I don't know, i figured since you were so quick to comment, you had some actual experiance with his shop. Hell, you don't even own a car he sells parts for?
