The racers have always called them "Fools Fashion" and i thought that was a little rough until I started seeing them fail at track events and how easily they bend and corrode.
If you can, highlight the word 'track events' in your mind and then go back to post #10 in this thread.
Here, this will even open it's own little window for you. http://www.dragva.com/forums/showpos...1&postcount=10

I remember you whining and crying because I didn't like those rims on your car. Yours and others replies were along the lines of "but they're HRE's". Now what does that mean? They're HRE's, that just means they have the same value as rims that go "bling", or they're HRE's so they were designed for extreme race? Apparently they're not designed for race. So they must be all about the bling bling yo, right? You then told me that Rotas were shit, because I used to have them on my car. Well, Rota hasn't been banned from racing series. So what they don't cost $2000+.
im sure these failures do not mean all HRE wheels are going to fall apart when pushed on...
id wait for a response from the company before making any over the top assumptions. this could be limited to one model, or one factory, or one production date, or one shipment of metal.
a company doesnt get a reputation like HRE's without having proven itself more than once. Lingenfelter's 427 C6s come with HREs. i think this whole issue will become a little less dramatic once the real problem is addressed...
but for now, let's point and laugh
