radio shack, and get microswitches. wire them in series. kinda tricky.....

go to NASIOC and do a search, there are so many threads on there about stupid electronics its not funny. the basics are to get a set of NC microswitches that have a paddle, and make bracketry to arrange them around the shifter so that when the shifter is in neutral, all of the switches are not touching the shifter, meaning the circuit is complete and will allow the starter to engage.

if the shifter is in any gear, the switch wil be open, and wont allow current to flow. you can do it with two switches, but four seems to be the best bet for paddle contact and such.

 

I had that basic idea in my head. I just dont know what to buy to accomplish it. or a way to design it w/o inhibiting my shifting.

 

I bet you could also just pull up the e-brake next time Sorry to hear bout it though. Bring it up to roanoke, ill paint it! Take it easy man... Turkey calls all the way!

 

That sounds so easy. Our shifters are pretty complexed. I don't how you could mount them so that they will get a reoccuring contact whn it is in gear...


It sounds like it might be easier to just mount a switch and flip it everytime you get in and out of the car. Or as Chris said.. use an ebrake.
