I was driving on Colonial Parkway last fall and i was doing like 80 and i never once saw a deer. The 4 other people in the car were scared shitless. And i used to work at Busch and drove home on rt. 60 from williamsburg all the time. not a single deer. I guess i must be lucky. (knock on wood). Sorry to hear about the ride . Consider yourself lucky though man. Driving a Miata and hitting a deer you got off light. If the deer was bigger he could've EASILY totaled your car.
