we went out at kitty hawk from about 6a till about 1130 and it was probably about 3 times as big and powerful as here in vb today. then we came home and took a nappy and then decided to go back out here in vb for about 2 and a half more hours....talk about exhuasted. but good waves have a way of over riding logical reasoning....

Friday, August the 6th: Our call is for an increase in Swell energy compared to yesterday. Swell will be coming in from 13 degrees with 8 to 11 foot surf with 8 second periods.
Saturday, August the 7th: Look for a decrease in Swell energy from yesterday. Swell will be coming in from 38 degrees with 4 to 5 foot surf with 8 second periods.

wind is supposed to switch northeast tomorrow so maybe it will switch up southwest on saturday for a clean swell, i went out this morning at s turns in sandbrigde, it was about knee-waist, super clean, a little slow but consistent, i only stayed out for about 2 hours, but all in all it was worth it, i love super clean lines.....

I took a beat down yesterday, looking down when on top of some of the higher waves...I was very intimidated. I had a good time though...just tired

I'll post a vid of yesterday afternoon when I get my firewire PCI card. We didn't get ANY good footage though because a) sunrise = glare so we gave up rather than walking a mile down the beach to get an angle, and b) none of us wanted to get outa the water lol.
My friend was high (damn potheads) so his video taping while we were out was absolute shit. But he happened to catch the wave that ended my day, when high tide came in it started dumping RIGHT on the beach, i took one to the head and he got it on tape =].
