Well as long as it is M/F or F/F thats ok, however the rent would go up to 2/3 being that there are 2 of ya.

 

You'd charge more for two people to use ONE ROOM than for one person to use ONE ROOM?

 

Yeah ... cause your not just paying $475 for just the bedroom. You get access to the whole place, therefore with an extra person in the room the bills would be higher, more mess.

Thats totally fair for him to charge 2/3's of rent

 

How so? The renters would be buying their own food and cleaning up after themselves, so how could there be a price difference between one person staying in the room and two people staying in the room?

 

use more electricity. more water. more of everything.

 

Ahh, okay. But still - if it were me, I'd split the rent in half then have them pay 2/3 utilites - that's a little more digestible to me . . . *shrug*

And on a side note, me and the fiancee shower together as much as possible, so we wouldn't use that much water

 

2/3 is fair... each person has 1/3 of the rent...

To be honest...$475 is less than half of what I pay anyway....its a hell of a deal....heres the breakdown:

Rent 919.00 mo
Water 40.00 mo
Cable 80.00 mo
HSI 40.00 mo
Electric 120.00 mo (yeah its my fault gas prices are rising )
No phone, I use my cell as a home phone.

Total = 1079.00 per month
Divide by 2 = 539.50

Therefore, I think $475 per month is more than fair!! Plus theres no guessing how much utilities will be.

Keep in mind, I can easily rent the place to 1 person for that price, what would be the advantage of me having 2 people in there? So in order to justify it, if you were to pay 2/3 of the bills/rent etc. Then I would be fine with that, it would help me out, besides you have her income and your income......you would have to split it anywhere else you go so whats the big deal?

 

Do you really think if I made money I would drive a merkur?
