Yeah def... I've owned my 2nd 2g, and my bro had a 2g. Our motors held up great! Oil changed regularly, did tune-ups, and we never had a problem with the 420A at all. Much like what ''falling animals'' said, our 1st 2g's started grinding in 2nd gear, the 2nd 2g's gave out, and the 3rd 2g's is holding up great... but, the 1st had 150,xxx miles, the 2nd had 109,xxx, and the 3rd has 88,xxx.

My girl has a 2g... The motor runs awesome.....but the tranny had to be replaced about 4 months ago at around 115,000 miles. Zero complaints about the motor tho.

The non turbo motors are pretty good but the turbo are really iffy.So as long as you keep the oilg change and all the basics you will be fine

The only complaint I have about my 420A motor is the placement of the fuel rail!

tech. it's not a dsm but it is. the last "dsm's" were produced in '95-'96 model years and the body style was altered and carried out through the production years by mitsubishi. same parts and all. but no longer a product of stricklty dsm.

its a shitty ass chrysler engine! i know i sell them all of the time for about $1000 each. its a damn dohc neon engine with a different layout for the head. pure garbage! and yes the transmissions in them are turds as well. if you are looking for dependability youd be better off getting a moped
but yeah they are nice cars

ps...we sell the trannys for $650 as well

Another thing is that I notice on every DSM I buy I have to replace the valve cover gasket.
