yeah...look at my sunfire for a prime example why NOT to go to hall autobody...still didnt get the wrong color overspray off my bumper and windshield...and if they get the replacement parts from another car, they dont like to strip the clearcoat or anything...just wash it off, and paint...

BTW... you don't want to "strip" the paint off a replacement car. Paint is the perfect primer. They'll sand it for traction and paint. Now if it's some super different color they'll need to prime it for coverage.

 

how about no. Unless the body shop is too cheap to use sealer before they apply their basecoat.

 

well on one spot its scratched down to the metal.

 

in that case, they will feather edge the scratch to bare metal, prime it...and then block it out, but not the whole panel, Just the scratched area

 

BAH, i might just get it patched up, the whole cars needs a paint job

 

they used parts from a red car, and didnt do anything...where the new paint came off...its as shiny as the day it came off the line, you can check under the...there's pleanty of places where the paint just came off...they got the parts car in. washed it, and sent it straight to the paint booth. i sat there and watched them from when they pulled the parts off, and took it to paint...
