neons were some of the first cars i saw being hooked up when i was in early high school. first cars i saw with bodykits, rims, spoilers, and cool paint jobs. there were three show car neons at my school. one lime green one with molded kits, one with color changing paint, and one that was purple/green with tons of body work. not saying these were great but were some of the first cars that got me into cars. yeah that and the pink S-10 so...

Why are they hated? Because there are a bajillion of them on the road, they are cheap, some have their problems, some people dont take care of them, most teens that own them end up turning them into eye sores.

If you cant take the jokes, ya shouldnt have bought one I've had my 99 R/T for almost a year and a half and i've heard all there is Just keep it clean and dont rice it out.

they are the most unreliable pieces of shit ever and the fact that some people try to salvage them into something worth more than 800 bucks blows my mind.
