Yes you do. And we unfuck it as well. 2 weeks ago you guys sent a guy in saying we stripped his plug and you all could not get it off. Yet we got it off with just a teeny little old 17 mil socket in 3 seconds. LOL. The guy was so pissed at you all he refused to go back to Jiffy Lube and we almost called you all to tell the manager he has an incompetant pitman. I have unfucked plenty of jiffy's screw ups.

BTW, I know how shitty you all get paid trust me. I was a Manager with Lucor in the 126 store, the 2690 store and 1471 short pump store.

BTW they need a replacement for me as I am moving to the Colonial Heights shop.

as you should know we check every plug before it is serviced and if its not our filter and it feels tight then we dont do the oil change. cause we dont want to be responible for a plug that was fucked up before hand. i'm the pitman.

So then why could we get it off in literally 3 seconds mr pitman? Hell the tech bitched at you guys for taking him off his brake job he was doing when it was done with ease. We used a simple 17 mil socket and ratchet. I know Lucor dont send you shit for tools, but still. The plug was not stripped, had no damage done to it. You just could not get it off.

Why did you lose another customer. Was it because you had a lack of tools to do the job due to APU's order? He comes in bitching at me because you all tell him we fucked it up. Yet he walked out there and saw the tech take the tools and undo the plug in the above and he called you all idots. It should not have came back with the customer mad. That's ok we earned his business and kept his business. You did not. Now they will send him a RC5 card $5 off, and when he does not get his oil changed in 6 months, they send him a Lost Customer LC7 $7 off card because he refuses to do business with you all.

I am not bashing you because I worked the pit, I was a manager with Jiffy Lube and know how they operate. That's why I left because ythey are incompetant, cheat customers and charge for services they don't do.

well i just started there 2-3 weeks ago, it could have happened while i was on my day off. i usually remember every car i do and in a extreme case i dont take the drain plug off when its tight plus i have my manager come down so he can check it. maybe it was a fluk incident. i dont know and i dont appreicate being called incompetant(<-the correct spelling). i just follow the rules that they set there. if a drain plug is tight i call for a "plug check" from my manager. if he checks it and believes its to tight to work on he rejects the service. like i said you should know that more than i do being that you worked as a manager. i dont like working at jiffy lube cause of the pay, i would rather be working at a dealership or a small car shop but i'm not and that doesnt mean i 'm not looking. why do you think i replied to this thread.

"Plug check" is used to limit liability of a shop in cases of suspected damage to the drain pan. Without working on the vehicle, lose a potential customer and maybe $7 profit (and $5 coupon which is most likely never to be redeemed anyways). Gamble is to be accused of performing the damage and then having to pay for repairs. Sure, repairs done at your own shop could be less costly, but customer would most likely take it to another shop then send you their bill.

It was a saturday and yes i have had pitmen that were incompetant they could not take off simple plugs. I have gone down several times to take a plug off they swore they could not get off. They are just too afraid to try. Jiffy lube does carry extra plugs,(I have replaced plenty that I saw were going bad).

The gentleman was told that whoever serviced his car last "Stripped the plug because it was spinning" That's his exact woprds to us from you all. He came in bitching at us. That's ok we took care of him as usual

I am not trying to argue over it, but Jiffy lube seems to fuck up alot of things. Ask Nic, fatboyee, and myself we all have seen it firsthand(I more than others)

This goes to show you that they don't train is why you down in the pit after 2 weeks of working there? The pit is where 75% of your damage claims are going to come from. Not saying you don't know what you are doing, but they always seem to stick the FNG who don't know anything in the pit cause its a shitty job and they dont wanna do it. Thats the Jiffy lube way.

I agree you dont get paid shit!! Anyone with any kind of auto knowledge will go elsewhere where they can make 8.5+ an hour. I did and glad I made the switch.

well 2 weeks ago i wasnt working on that saturday... i have been working on cars most of my life and have worked in a dealership before and have seen screwups from jiffy lube and walfart. so i know where your coming from. i truely wouldnt take my car to jiffy lube if i didnt work there. i would rather be working at Merchants Tire & Auto. but the reason i went to work for jiffy lube is because i needed a job quick and they hired me right at the start. well i think i've said my peace and i'm pretty sure we should type our hearts out til they bleed about this subject but i'm going to sto it here and i might come by and apply at merchants today. i think i have seen your car around here....

Talk to Mike and tell him Phil sent you. I should be working the shop this afternoon. My last day at that shop though cause I am moving to colonial heights as a sales/service writer(whatever you wanna call it).
