I've seen stock B16's do some crazy fast runs. Poshybrid for example, who disappeared off the face of the earth.... Think he ran 13.8 or so, stock b16, but that was in an 88 style hatch.

If I remember correctly he only had a vtec controller and open exhaust..

 

i think hondamongrel ran a 13.8 in his b16 crx also...

 

crazychickenhead on this board ran a 13.2 w/ a stock b16, then 12.5 with ls/vtec

 

For $4K go LS/vtec. You are going to need a little more than that for a B series swap/turbo/tuning.

 

13.2 in a STOCK B16???? How the fuck did he pull that off? and 12.5 with an LS/VTEC?? What were the stats on the LS/VTEC? Was it just a stock LS block/pistons and a VTEC head? Cuz if so, thats insane.

 

yeah im def with vtecnology on that one...what in the hell make that car go 13.2 on stock b16...my best is 14.7

I want an answer on this. Cuz my CRX is a stripped '88 HF with a stock B16. It's pretty much the lightest '88+ Honda made. My S2000 will pull my CRX. Not by much but it pulls it. My S2000 runs around a 14.0 so I'm guessing my CRX to be in the 14.5 range. Your buddy has a car with the same stats as mine and one that is probably a little heavier and it runs almost a second and a half faster??? I think either your buddy's name is John Force or someone's fillin you with some shit. Prove me wrong.
