the fact that you have access to a fully equipped mechanics shop does make owning that Lotus a much more viable option

esprit + big ass turbo

 

I would take the Esprit, but that car is a labor of love - stuff is always breaking, good chance of it catching on fire, expensive to service, very weak Renault transmission, and not all that fast. Still it's a dead sexy exotic that you don't see all that often.

 

Thanks for the responses. But I was thinking of getting it as a stepping stone to a cls 55 amg. Does that sway anyones opinion?
