Or you can try to adopt/rescue one. There are several APBT's here that need a good home. 6 weeks is a bit early to take a pup from it's mother!

 

i was always told 6 weeks was about the right time that you could take them from their mother.

between 6-8 weeks is when they should be ready, in order to ship a dog to a different state or country, the airport usually requires the pupps to be atleast 8 weeks old (my brother used to be a rottweiler breeder and bought/shipped pupps to different countries around the world thats how i know..lol)

 

8 weeks is the norm. When you speak to reputable breeders and not back yard breeders. Papers will mean nothing to you if you do not plan on breeding or showing. Which I recommend you having the dog fixed! Our breed doesn't need more folks looking to make a few quick bucks off puppies.
