2001 325xi black on black on black... feeler
I'd say closer to $9K.
There is a used car dealer out in Powhatan selling a 2003 325iX wagon for $10K.
As of yesterday me and the wife picked up a 2000 323i wagon from a Pearson dealership for just $8k - and that's retail.
Any of the mods you can switch out for stock parts and sell seperately will better recoupe what you've spent on the car.
As we all know upgrades and mods actually add very little to the actual value of the car.

i'll consider that, let me get back to you though..
i know its so sad.. i bought this car in 06 for 18k then spent all the extra money of fixing it up, plus the money for maintanence.
good luck with your touring though!

Anyway looks like you're in the right ballpark for pricing;
start out in the $12K range with all the goodies on it and see if anyone bites and if you can wait on it,
or move it into the $9k range ans strip as much off as you can for a quick sale

Thanks it's pretty sweet, I don't think the dealership knew what they had. It's got the Sports package suspension and the powered sports seats, 5spd, silver w/grey interior. One owner car and has the car serviced it's whole life at Richmond BMW. The subtle differences between my slightly modded '01 325i and this car are definitely interesting.

i'm in no rush to get rid of it but if someone shows me a good trade i'd consider i'll probably do it. i'm really trying to stick with the roundel though, maybe an e34 m5
You could always check KBB and NADA foir private seller/used section of their pricing guides, then you would know the value of the car? Unless you have insane mods, you won't get anything over BB value for the car, the banks won't give out more then BB value for a car, especially right now. If you are to deep into the car to take an offer of BB value (private party) i wouldn't waste my time if i were you, just saying.
