one can hope yah know. However subaru and toyota are working together on a RWD car it is confirmed. if it will be the corolla RWD? won't know for awhile. its gonna use subaru's 4wd but modified for RWD only

 

I've been watching that for months. It's a joint platform sharing exercise with Subaru, both are due out around 2011, and we're not going to get the Toyota, only the Suby. These are all the last grindings of the rumor mill, I'm obviously not an industry insider.

There is supposedly a RWD Nissan coming out right around the same time to compete with them in that market segment.

 

Both the Subaru and Toyota are going to be RWD, AWD isn't a part of that project at all last I heard.

 

you haven't seen the new camaro yet?

 

I've also heard of a rwd nissan coming out. Its rumored to be the 240, or so i've heard.

 

I was up at CAT (Central Atlantic Toyota) for school recently. Had quite a few discussion about happenings within the company, concerning truck production, the Tundra diesel and this car. From what has been heard, the car is going to be produced and should be in that sub-15k range.

 

if it is in the sub 15k range then bam i gotta have one. of course i'll be looking for the toyota counterpart to swap bodypanels lol.

 

They're targeting around $20k I thought, I don't think it will be sub $15k.
