Pre-owned Car question (legal question)
Thats true, but only new cars and I'm not sure what the exact percentage is. Used cars don't have to be disclosed no matter what the amount is, however if the title is salvage then it must be disclosed.
It just sucks, because it was supposed to be "Certified Pre-Owned", and they didn't do shit to "certify" it. They just assumed, since it was so new, that it was ok.
You're still fucked if you get a wrecked vehicle that was fixed "on the side" without going through the normal channels. There are ways to make things not show up on Carfax, unfortunately. Getting someone knowledgeable to check a car out is still one of the best ways, along with a Carfax.
nope they dont have to . that why they put as is on cars. now unless u didnt sign that little paper that says as is then its not a valid transaction . normaly on the car window when bought and it normaly a pink peice of carbon paper . just went throught the same thing and that how they get you.. cause i tried to take back and got this info from a car saleman from another dealership .but i sign it so im stuck with a peice of shit .
