Local place for knee treatment ?
I have patellar tendonitis (SP?), which shares alot of the same symptoms. I have to go to PT about 3x a week. There is a rather good doc in Alexandria that I would recommend. I believe it was Commonwealth Orthopedics, they had me diagnosed, x-rayed, and outta there fast as hell and the doc apparently is pretty famous in this area.
Great info everyone, I will check them all out.
No , it doesn't swelll nor get hot. I just have pain then comes and go . The doctor said that the muscle is weak. He said to treat it with cold ice and pain medicine . He gave me a website also but i didn't find it to be to useful. Plus I used to play soccer alot during spring and suddenly stopped doing all that. After that i started to get this knee problem

Personally the main ingredient in Aleve helped me waaay better than any other pain relieves like Advil for example.
GL bro, half the battle is rehab, its a PITA but you gotta do it and be strict on yourself to do your excercises daily, like 2-3 times.
Try different pain med;s and make sure they all have anti-inflammitories(sp).

Any place that provides physical therapy should be able to help you. Dr. Hazel in Fairfax is one of the best known docs in the area for joint work and sports injuries, good luck

Also bro just to be safe if you do get pain, hit the pain reliever your choice and ice that bitch cause what causes the pain is inflammation in the tendon that you probably dont feel but is happening. Im icing mine right now i got a game tonight lol
so i went to the doctor down in Franklin farm referred by NastyNate apparently he said the joints might have moved or the knee is no upscale where its suppose to be. I got a prescription for a med called Voltran and i need to get physical therapy. Thanks for all the help
