So far after looking over the car after it's been Hyperfested, all I need to do is:

Change diff fluid

Replace torn rear CV boot (I'm thinking something hit it)

Change oil to a thicker 40 weight. My car seems to like to drink 30 while at the track. It's running strong and not smoking so I'm trying to not worry about it.

Get new pads.

Tires still look alright, I thought they would be gone after Summit. I beat the shit out them, but passing Z06's is too much fun.

The first number is the weight. So you want 10w(weight)30 rather then 5w30.

Need to bitch about my dead tires
Fix oil pressure gauge
Put new bushings in rear LCAs
Verify alignment
Change oil with new RedLine 30 race oil
Decide what to do about my camera....

Wrong newb:

The W means the oil meets specifications for viscosity at 0 F and is therefore suitable for Winter use.
W=winter. You learn something new everyday.

I'm thinking about registering for the Hyperdrive event where you get one lap and an instructor sits with you. Is it worth it?

Also would a stock S2K be able to do the hyperdrive event without an aftermarket roll bar?

It's one session not one lap. No, you cannot go out on track with a convertible without a roll bar.

It is worth it if you are just trying to see what it's like but if you want to learn a lot then just sign up for the HPDE 1

just my opinion....
