Well... I just upgraded to 3.90m33. The nice thing about the newer M33 firmware, is that you can just simply use the standard "Network Upgrade" feature on your PSP, and it will automatically get you the latest m33 code (just like doing it thru Sony).

I just spent a few minutes last night going from 3.80-m33-5 -> 3.90-m33. On the slim, it adds support for Skype. I don't believe this works yet with the fat model. Haven't tried Skype yet, but everything else is working fine.

Also downloaded a few games (MX vs ATV, Ben10, Atari Classics, and a NES emulator with 800 games) and those run fine. Joe, I'll hit you up about getting some more titles.

Joe, do you have a PS1 emulator? I desperately want to get Final Fantasy 7 running on my PSP.

Thanks dude.

I think it is built in. I'm looking into it now. I'm downloading some ps1 eboots and will try them out.

Alright... here's what is up.

There is no need for a separate emulator for PSX games as it's built into the firmware. I was just playing Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy 7, and Final Fantasy 9 on my PSP last night. They played flawless and have no troubles saving games to the memory stick. I'M SO FUCKING HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!! The FF games have multiple discs, so you just save your game at the end of disc 1, then exit out to load the disc 2 game, and load your saved game to continue on.

I loaded an NES emulator and those played pretty good. Only issue I'm having now is that the SNES emulator (SNES9xTYL) lags a bit during gameplay. I'm not stressed about it too much, but it would be cool to have some nice SNES games to play from time to time.
