That's sad... we've all doine shit like that before and just goes to show you things can happen fast.

Based on the angle of impact and the damage to that car (I was an insurance adjuster) I'd say he wasn't trying to take the exit ramp.

Most people know how fast their car can take a ramp, and if he'd taken it too fast, but was trying to turn he'd have most likely slid into a tree sideways.

It looks like he hit it head on at a very high rate of speed, enought to push the dash etc into the back seat.

Maybe he thought he still had a lane, who knows, we'll never know.

And yeah... I doubt a modded Evo would take the time to race a plain old 3 series... I bet it was an M3, hope the cops review his myspace, I'm sure they do that these days.

RIP dude.

Dumb cops... why would they expect someone to surrender after they list off a shitload of charges? Furthermore, I'm not BMW expert but what the hell is a 200 series?

Wow.. I saw this thread yesterday but didn't check it until now... I met up with him and some friends Friday night to hang out... We talked about cars for a good while during this time. About his evo, what was done to it, future plans, etc... It was the first time I had seem him in a long time. He was close friends with a few of my friends... A real sad story to hear, my condelences go out to his family and everyone who was close to him.

R.I.P. David.
