if you were in the military, you don't need to take a class.

if it was fairly recently. dont expect to take a 15 year old dd214 in there and get approved, but i would think thats common sense.

yeah i know. i recently got a permit and my dd214 was a year old.

Best thing we did was go to the gun show and do it. Takes about two hours after waiting in line and they give you all the paperwork right there.

Two hours to do what? Take a class or fill out paperwork? Most classes are only 2-3 hours long with a range session at the end. Paperwork at the courthouse took me 10 minutes to fill out. If you have no history its maybe 2 pages of the 10 they give you to put information on.
