yup. The judge is just going to tell you that you need to realize that your stopping distance would be greater and you should have been traveling slower. It doesn't make a difference that you were going 2mph under. Sorta like how you can get a ticket for going 62 in a 65mph zone, if it's snowing heavily. However, if you ran from the cops and hit a dumpster, you'd get some sympathy on here

haha good point and ya thats what i was thinking i just thought id get more opinions on what a judge might think

well its not my car im not very aware of the stopping distance,i know i should have i actually tried then rethought it and proceded(sp),the cop also asked ''why did you hold your brake down through the light but now stop before it'' all in all i was trying to save the rear window as he noticed but still decided to be a prick
Look that want ya got, go to court, be VERY polite, and explain the reason, you might get off, tell them you werent used to driving the vehicle. Explain how you just wanted to avoid trouble, i was told if you cant stop go thru if possible and slow down.

First off you need to weigh fighting it and losing vs. just paying it. Would it cost the same? Then, you need to factor in any lost time from work. If you're missing work, how much would that cost you?
If you fight it and win, but miss work in the process, depending on how much you make, you could still end up negative. It's a moving violation, so it could end up raising your insurance premium.
Fuck it. Fight it. Dress like a bum and use copious amounts of profanity.
