On a TUNED car you shouldn't feel it. On a correctly tuned car it should be a smooth transistion.
I've always thought VTEC was harder to feel in a GSR because of the double butterflies in the IM. And yeah, I agree with Jarrod, on a correctly tuned car, it should be a smooth transition into VTEC and you shouldn't feel it.
the swap you are looking at comes with practically everyting you would need other than pass.axle and rear motor mount, and a OBD2a to OBD2b jumper harness. I have driven the car before the motor was pulled (by me) and can tell you that it runs just like a GSR should, not one tranny problem, or any other problems.
