That nickel thing is bull shit, my dad lived where this plant was, it USE to do alot of damage, they've greatly decreased the pollutants that cause acid rain and have really cleaned the plant up.. Besides, it may not be the most environmentally friendly car in the world, but this is the first of its kind, its going to takes year (just like the gasoline motor did) to make it more efficient and have less impact on the world.

 

the battery is only expected to last 100k miles. then be too expencive to replace. therfore adding to waste. whereas my shitbox sentra gets about 40mpg and has been operating for 16years and i doubt has had as much money spent on it as a prius' purchase price.

some foreign country(my brain wants to tell me italy) has a taxi company that uses the prius, and they have over like 200xxx on the cars apparently
