I would like to submit a challenge to shawn lozy....
Of all call outs I can see where this one comes from. Shawn's WRX has been talked up big and been in a magazine (or two), but I don't recall any amazing timeslips or actual dyno numbers.
I for one am very curious.

it's something i'd like to see. Thats a very substantial claim(700+ AWHP). I saw the car a long time ago back at the CNU show. It did have a very large turbocharger, and a very nice looking direct port nitrous set up. When asked what the car ran the response was "i haven't taken it to the track". SO..it sounds like the big turbo and nice pretty nitrous set up are good for bragging but haven't been shown to actually produce any results.

+1 it was locked last time because his name was in the thread
First I would like to say that I am not trying to start an internet fight here, I just want to straighten a few things up.
#1- As Shawn will tell you, unfortunately the build has been in a hold because of one main thing. The shop that was hired to press the sleeves into the case messed up, BAD. Most of you know that it is a pain in the ass to get a shop to replace something that cost an arm and a leg. After a long stressful battle with them, they finally agreed to press new sleeves into a new case and send it out our way. It should be here either this week or the beginning of next. The car itself is ready, but the problem with the case really put him back. Shawn and I both are extremely irritated with the situation, as I want the car to be running and ripping around the 757 as bad as him.
If I didn't know the situation first hand, I would be agreeing with everyone on this board. However, I have been troubled with the problems as well, so it has been a burden on me to get the car finished as well as him.
As for the 700AWHP claim, that is his goal. He is not going around telling people this to BS them. I think that anything even near that is really impressive, but that is just me. I also have witnessed every part that is going to be used in this build. I know that I am just a girl, but I do know a heavy amount about cars. In my opinion the car will make over 700. Anyone that has seen the setup will agree with me.
The car should be ready in a month and half, if not before. I am just as anxious to see what the car will put down as everyone on this board.
So please, I am asking you. Give him a short while longer, then he will prove to everyone that he was telling the truth.
Like I said I am not trying to start and internet fight, its just my .02 cents on the subject and I hope someone will listen to it.
When the car is running, if Shawn won't drive it out (which I doubt) I myself will bring the car out to any dyno that is wished. And everyone on this board can hold me to it.
I hope this cleared some things up.
Thanks-
Caitlin

how convienient.
so he is claiming '700 awhp' based on hopes and dreams, a turbo and shortblock that isn't even installed yet?
that somehow makes it even more funny to me.
