Did I miss something? Since when can't you use your stock pistons in a sleeved block? If he gave the shop the pistons then they can bore the block out the match the bore of the piston. Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not a H22 guru, but that just doesn't make sense.

You can use the pistons from a later model Prelude which used an open deck design. The fiber reinforced mesh style cylinders were not used in the 97+ engines.
