96-2000 Civic Ex correct?

I had one in my crx. It was actually pretty torquey for a D-series and pulled pretty strong.

The y8 has a better low end than a z6 but unfortunately the high end is not as good. The intake manifold has a different design. If I wasnt swapping my whole motor I would put a z6 mani on my y8 head BUT I guess I will just leave it alone and pull it out to make room for a B series.

when i had the Y8 in my crx...I had kept it OBD-0 and thus used the SI intake manifold of the A6 and I felt like it was more powerful cuase when i put the Y8 intake manifold on, It felt alot slower and i was getting beat by what i had beaten several times before.

In the thread I posted he seems to have information about fitting a B-Series into the newer Civics (like the '83 mentioned in this thread).

I dont know if that tells you anything but im guessing you have no real knowledge of what you are talking about..Also The 4 "notches" on the top of each piston are valve reliefs cut into the piston.

He's WAY more knowledgable then you.

Why do you think he should quit giving advise?

I listen to alot of things he says, and never seems to actaully be wrong. seems to be the wiser

and 83 civic..no matter how fugly they are

it would be a NICE sleeper
gsrhatchman did my swap with no problems at all, so im guessin he knows his hondas, not saying that you dont but i can vouch for him...even tho he did mix up a hose to my heater core but i fixed it and hes a cool guy overall, drove like almost an hour to do my swap for a VERY VERY good price
