Yeah it was bound to happen, the last time at Richmond I noticed I was having a REAL hard time WOT shifting and it caused me to miss my 3-4 shift all 3 runs (hence the high 11 sec runs). Well this time after the wife got her EXTREMELY scary 2 runs in in the left lane (She seriously almost quit drag racing after those runs) I got in and gave it a go, I had a awesome run with a beautiful Blue STI for my first run. I edged him out of the box by like 0.015 (1.840 to a 1.855) then had him by about a tenth at the 60 foot. then put a decent amount on him at the 1/8 but after that the shift selector jammed up again and I blew my 3-4 shift. I rammed that shit in there pretty damn hard and squeaked away with a shitty win (think it was a 12.4). But on the return lane I couldn't put the damn car in 1st gear lol. I got it in first on the way back and figured I'd give her one more go. Lined up with that dude in the G35 that said Skyline. Talked to him for a bit and he told me he had intake, clutch and a 75 shot. I duno what happened to him off the line, but when i shifted 3 to 4 and broke the selector i had a chance to look back wards down the track and saw he messed something up on the line. Some how I ended up with the win on that run at 18 seconds lol. I hope his car is OK, thing was clean as hell and those rims wear sick.

Anyway Richmond is really starting to turn into the worst fucking track ever, as the season closes I swear the prep gets worse and worse. I think next season I'm going to go back to NEDW and do the occasional MIR for 1/4 times...

So yeah someone call Dodge and tell them that neons suck and they should make shift selectors that can take 400+ ft-lbs TQ... Got a new Billet aftermarket piece in the mail right now for 135$.

Ohh and to the guys that gave me a jump start thanks, I really appreciate it.

I second, third, and fourth the scaryness of the left lane. I was all over the place after the 1/8 mile.

Either way, your Neon was sick, what's your set-up if you don't mind me asking. Also, question on your SRT brothers, why must they rev to 5k to move 13 feet so that you can hear the blow off valve and popping/cracking from the exhaust. It was bothering me.

I cant speak for the others, probably just ignorance, but i have to give it a small stab (like to 2k) every now and then at idle to lean it out the cams make me go rich fast at idle. I basically have a built Motor by Darrell Cox and the Mopar Stage 3 Turbo (TD05HR 15G) and suporting mods.
