yeah i was sittin there as he pulled back into staging with his lip in the car...i litterally bout shed a tear, and was bout to pull my car back into my parking spot...he finished off with a cleam run(if i recall correctly) the next time around...gotta give 'em credit for goin back out. i know my ass woulda sat there starin at the lip with a roll of duct tape in my hand...

The more pressure you add to a tire the more you are increasing it's lateral grip, but too much pressure and basically you loose you contact patch and your riding on the middle of your tire.
When your lower the pressure you decreasing the traction and making it easier for the tire too roll on the sidewall.
So, yeah I think you needed to switch your pressures around and try it the other way. Now, if you wanted to get rid of some oversteer then your set-up would of worked. I know it sounds weird and it's basically the opposite of what you want to do in drag racing. If you think about how a tire works though it makes sense. You want it to tire to stay on the tread and not the sidewall, all the grip is on the tread. Plus, higher front pressure improves your steering feel.
