no, overdrive is less turns of the engine per turn of the driveshaft. that's why the gas mileage is good, the engine is working less. 1:1 means the engine turns once and the driveshaft turns once.

1:1 is the gear you use on a dyno right? I think thats what I got mixed up

yeah, most people dyno (and tune) in 1:1. it's not uncommon to tune other gears so you get the best results in all loads though.

The SVT actually isn't a bad car at all. It's already in the mid 15's. That's not bad for a car that's known to be in the 17's from the factory

cause the motor turns once, the tranny turns once, hence the 1:1 ratio
