What ever floats your boat man, just make sure it ticks all the boxes you need, small displacement bikes don't cope well with luggage or highway speeds.

If I didn't need garage space I'd keep my ninja 250 for putting around on in the summer.

No sportbike, too old!
Ride to work and with some friends occasionally.
Definitely want to keep it cheap, but nice, don't want a pile of shit. Will take care of it.

Not interested in trying to go 100mph, or race.

 

Comes in both an offroad and sport touring version. 1200cc v-twin. Enough ass to not feel left out but not so much that it`s unruly or out of hand.

I have to admit the wind jammers and heated grips are a nice change of pace from my last bike. I seriously thought i was going to do more riding this winter but it just didn`t happen, lacked the motivation i used to have...

I've been looking for a VStrom for a couple months now with minimal luck.

May end up snagging this Triumph Street Triple R instead.
