it's too bad it's not a 2000. in 2000 they added yellow (only year of that color)
Also, the 2000 has a better regulator, a cat, o2 sensors and an idle circuit so the ecu doesn't regulate fuel until the bike comes up to operating temperature. Despite the emissions controls, there is no power loss.

I think you should buy it, ride it for a month, then sell it to me for substantially less.
