Opel, for a long time, like Skoda, has for a long time made very middle of the road, econo cars. But, like KIA, and Hyundai, the quality over the years have improved. I haven't driven a Opel in about 4 years, but the last one I drove was a rental, and I couldn't wait to get done with it. It did the job, but it wasn't anything I would want to run out and buy. oddly, I LOVE some of the old school Opels though. Like the 1960 Rekord.
