Honda Ruckus / Scooter Thread
Over the summer. I still want to put a better rear shock on it... but still haven't decided if I want to do forks and wheels yet.
Probably not gonna go GY6. But we'll see.

Hey fellas,
I have been looking around and have decided to just do chassis stuff right now. You know, the typical seat dump, bars and stretch. I don't think Ill do the blocks, though. I don't want to get into intake/exhaust/variator yet because I bought this jank new and I don't want to mess with the warranty.......just yet...
That...and I HAATTEEEE jetting....with a passion...
Anywho, what are some good companies to look into for this stuff? I looked on standardfucntion after looking though the early pages of this thread but am curious about the other guy and if the are better.
It'll be a few months before I can head off to that parts store in tokyo so I am just gonna see what I can get while I am in Sasebo.
Edit. Again.
Another question I have is, what exactly is the "fuel injection" like on zoomers? Does it mean I don't have to jet? I almost want to say its more of a injection assist rather than a true fuel injection with an "ecu".

Also like SW said you could easily install new weights and variator without much hassle (there is no up-jetting involved in a variator install). I would look into the whether or not that would void your warranty or not first though.
Since you are in no rush to get this stuff done I would just troll the TR for sale threads until someone posts up what you are looking for. The deals are there to be had, just have to be patient. Only thing that might be a issue is that you are overseas, so you will of course have to pay for a higher shipping rate.
Jt knows whats up and as for being state-side, Heath/JT are right about the TR threads. I've bought everything on mine from there except the tires, front fender, and rear wheel... all though all those mods were at least inspired from the total ruckus forums. Decide what you want to do first (seat rail, bars, wheels, etc) first then get back to us and we can point you to specific places to get them for cheap and/or threads on how to do the specific mods.
Oh and there are few mods you can make that will get around your warranty. Ex: Slightly longer/shorter belts, different weight variator rollers, taller/shorter tires, "aerodynamic" enhancements, and losing weight all can affect performance but won't affect the warranty.
