Freddy, really surprised you couldnt get the tire on with a chetah tank. Ive done some STIFF truck tires before, and stretched some small tires on wide wheels too, just gotta have patience.

eh. its alright. they were stacked in the garage for awhile, so it kinda squished the tires thinner.
im just gonna find some stockers to put on while its waiting for repairs. then i can figure out what tires and wheels i want to run.
if i do run the 37s, minimum of 8.25" wide wheels. not gonna try and thing else. but im leaning towards something else anyway.

try that band adjustment link i posted. it may not help, but it cant hurt either.

caleb, seems everybody is having tranny issues. it doesnt look good that 3/4 are exploders and 4/4 are fords tho lol
is it on tight? did you put the gasket on(just makin sure....)? maybe its not the right gasket(i know autozone had weird shit for my engine oil pan one..)?

rusty, im sure if it was summer and i shove crap in there to stretch them out, theyd go on. but im just gonna abandon the idea. 16.5 is just a bad egg to mess with anyway

brandon, gayleb refuses to buy an exploder. ive tried many times. so i can say its not gonna happen. but if you had a v8 and the newer hatch/front bumper i wouldve loved to have it

yea man, i even torqued them down to factory specs.... the gasket / filter was brand new.... but something is def wrong with the way i did it (because it's even worse than before. haha) i'll probably just take it to a shop after the holidays are over and have them fix it.

and the only thing i'd get in a Ford for a "toy" is another bronco.... i LOVED my last 3 haha

clean the area up real good and look to see exactly where its coming from.

since you said bronco, get a bronco II
would it be better if it had a 302 v8 swap?

The fluid was still reddish this time and was not really anything on the magnet. I was told the tranny is original to the truck with 187,000 but I can't be 100% sure. I took a different way back up the mountain Saturday and the tranny did perfect and did not leak a drop. The alternate road I took is a steep curvy road where you are on and off the gas through out. Thanks for that link I'm for sure going to set those bands this week.

I'm gonna throw the dirt grips up on craigslist and see if I can get a little something for them..

They do have a good humm but that will go away if you don't religious check air pressure, rotate and keep those things as even as possible. Because they have a bias sidewall, what PSI are you running on the street with them?
