looks like im going to be purchasing a 98 Grand Cherokee limited tomorrow.... 82k miles on it.... silver.... (5.2L not the 5.9)

plans are 3 inch lift and some better wheels (not those shitty waffle cone wheels) and some more agressive tires.

Ole 35's are on now. Also replaced ujoints in front axle shafts, detailed it a little, cleaned up the frame an painted

Also no more weights on the wheels (back wheel has mud where they pulled weights off). I'm now running the airsoft bb's to balance the tires. Love it.

JB, keep me updated on the airsoft BB's please.. I've heard two different stories, they either work great or don't at all. I've been wanting to put some in mine for the longest time now but just haven't had the heart.

How much did you put in? Dynabead says 33/35x12.50's require 8oz, so I figured I'd try that first...

I have no wobbles from the tires at all. The MTR's are an easy tire to balance though. I like the fact I don't have to keep track an see if I knocked any weights off now. The tire shop I used suggested them an put in what was needed. Not sure how much they put in but I have no wobbles. I would recommend it, if you don't like them. Pop a bead off, empty them out, fill up with air and have them rebalanced.

Only thing they did I had to redo was they had my tires at 32psi. Felt like a bitch driving an hitting pot holes. Think I lost a filling in my teeth, haha. I have them set at 22psi at the moment.

yea we checked that.... im thinking its the fuel pump

on another note..... heres the new daily..... 98 Grand Cherokee Limited... 5.2L... 82K miles... thing is in EXCELLENT condition

already have a 2 inch budget boost for it.....
and already bought these wheels to accommodate the 31x10.5x15 tires im ordering monday or tuesday....

now lets talk tires.... im not going w/ Mud Terrains.... im looking for an all-terrain tire thats going to last a hot minute and not going to break the bank..... ive narrowed it down to 3 choices.... (im going to clear the air now and say no BFG AT's)

Falken Rocky Mountain AT's (they are a 50,000 mile tire)

Falken Wild Peak AT

or the General Grabber AT studdable

Why would you consider the Grabber A/T's then? It's 99% the exact same tread pattern and depth, and it's a softer rubber than the BFG's.. so it's lifespan is shorter.

My vote would be the Wild Peak A/T's, they're the same tread pattern as the Rocky Mountains, but with more rubber.

New favorite tire is the MTR's. Ran them at 10psi on the trails (could have gone lower) an they gripped everything like glue. Front locker worked great. Crawled through mud with out an issue, didn't feel like throwing any mud an getting dirty. Crawled rocks like a champ. Need a rear locker now
