It's true they do not have an inner bead lock lock like every other wheel size on the market. Why that was done, I have no idea. I have 16.5x9 3/4 on mine...at the time I build it, they were popular with every tire available in that size. That's not the case currently. I'm still shopping for wheels because I need tires..3 choices in 16.5 that I have found, TSL Swampers, Swamper Boggers and the military 37's. None of those choices really fit my needs.

I will say I have aired my Parnelli dirt grips down to 10lbs without issue on the 16.5 wheels. If you blow a bead...WD40 and a match

Mine are not chrome, aluminum with not much shine left..but I don't do much to keep them clean. I'm in Hatteras for two weeks at the end of the month. I'm gonna go ahead and run them and figure out what I want when I get back. I'm leaning towards the Centerlines..they have about an 8 week delivery date after the order is made.


They have definitely been phased out..nearly no tire choices.

BlownLS1 did it to himself. He was a new guy coming in plus repping everyone he could and saying this guy and that guy are mad funny and this is the reason I joined. Then he'd go around doing the typical VaDriven lingo and riding all the "cool" peoples nuts. All you got to do is tell him you hate him and he'll start raging.

 

IRFreddy hook up with smokey an see if he wants to sell his wheels. Then if you still want the bling chrome, go have them dipped. I believe you are just going cheap as possible (reason for the used 37's) which is ok, but you could help yourself in the long run and go with a more popular wheel size. If you ever need tires again it's a lot easier to find a 16 or 17in tire size. Don't get me wrong the 37 military tire is bad ass but only looks good on a h1 wheel. I don't think it will look right on one of the cheaper procomp steel wheel.

 

These guys make a nice truck wheel....they are one of my choices for a beadlock wheel when I go that route.
