Nope no powder coating. Just a spray can gun metal color.

 

Heat dissipation. I was uneasy about putting thick paint on the hottest part of the engine. Pressurized Oxygen heats up cast iron REAL fast, just ask Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee...

(I'll explain that analogy to any non-history majors if need be..)

wouldnt that be good? i mean itd keep the heat in and only give it one exit, the headers. and people wrap the headers also to keep the heat in.
if youre worried, just do one thin coat of color
