FUCKING BALLZ! This 3M glazing putty aint worth a shit. I'm at the point now that I could care less about low spots. ARGH!!!

Sanded the fuck out of it again and cleaned. Still only the first LIGHT coat but here's a teaser anyway:

3M products are supposed to go on very thin. It's gonna take you a while to build it up. I attempted to use it on a hood and quit relatively quick.

 

niggro I AM!! I just put the last paint coat on. I don't have time to clear before I have to be to work (4pm)





I learned that quick. 1/32" apparently wasn't thin enough. I had to build the rear light bracket 6 times! It still isn't perfect but will pass for smooth staring at 10" away.



I found a few other blemishes but I threw in the towel on those. It will more than likely be wrecked/stolen/vandalized within a 6 month period when I'm done.... this is Richmond after all.

Blemishes? One is on the side where the previous owner laid it down. The other 2 are small on the inside of the frame near the engine. Once its together, the only noticable one will be under a new RUCKUS sticker.

I brought it in the house and found a small spot at the light bracket where I must have missed with the 800 grit. I'll be hitting that tonight if its not raining then I'll move on to the "tank frame" Won't paint again though till I crest the recommended 48 hour wait period. So probably on Saturday.

I'd really like to mount the stretch before I reassemble, but I need money for that. Donations anyone? I'll put your name on the frame!
