I have been looking around online and need to find a Chain Kit to order.. I guess I will go with a DID 520 and Standard Teeth Sprockets since I ride on the highway daily.. Renthal Sprockets and DID Chain.. Maybe these?

I can tell you that a DID chain will be one of the most expensive chains that you can get. Other chains would work just as well for regular riding. If you were doing clutch launching, hard shifting, or wheelies... I could see spending the extra money for it if that be the case. But even an x ring ek should do great and save you money. I would suggest a down 1 up 2 set up for sprockets... Having owned an 05 and an 06 636... They are a little sluggish on the bottom side. Would probably help the all around power with a sprocket upgrade.

I am pretty sure that the 636 is a 520 chain stock and that it is only Yamaha that has the larger chains on their 600's

You are correct sir, 636's come stock with 520 Chains..

I do some twisties and hard acceleration through them from time to time.. No tracks, Drags, or Wheelie Riding or stunting.. Just normal riding 60 miles M-F Each day to work.. To be honest.. When it comes to Chains and sprockets I am fucking clueless... Could you find a chain for me and post a link to which one I should get?

I am thinking about which one to get, I just need a standard 108 Link 520 Chain.. THATS IT, No wheelies, Stunting, Tracking or anything.. Hitting a few twisties here and there but thats it! Highway riding mostly.

This is the kit I'm looking at right now, comes with front, rear, and chain. All for around $200.

This might sound really dumb, but why not just go to kawi and buy oem stuff. You don't want anything to be different, then just buy oem, that's what I would do....

You can get the driven kit (or most other chain/sprocket kits I've seen on knee draggers) without gearing changes..

(Obviously change it to a kawi)
