I went yesterday. well wednesday afternoon. He had just been rolled back into his room from the lung biopsy. He looked better, as in the color of his skin but thats about it. Hes so pumped full of fluids and cant move that hes all swollen.

I really hope this kid pulls through.

 

The swelling has gone down since then. His hands look more normal now. The nurses said its just because of all the fluids and lack of movement.

 

60% on the vent isn't horrible. I wonder if it was set higher and they have been able to come down on it. The swollen thing is just from his veins flooding from the high amount of IV fluids. If they are able to begin pulling off some of the sedation medicine that's a good sign! Keeping my fingers crossed for good test results!

Has anyone mentioned anything about how his chest xrays looks? No mention of strep pneumonia or ARDS?

Update on Chris: He's looking good today. Chest xrays are looking better. They are in the process of unparalyzing him. So he is back to the restraints. Still waiting on test results. Will update when we know more. Oh and he has the hiccups!
