plus my engine ran lean when i first put the turbo on o that didnt help

How can you wear out a 300SDL? A 350SDL, I could understand, but 300SDLs are wear proof.

Ah. But who cares about tires? On the trans, you could just dial back the vacuum modulator....though really hitting them hard is better for your trans that soft (though I supposed it's worse for your trans valve body)
Speaking of wearing out the trans, please tell your dad to reasses his "I'll replace a transmission but not repair an old one" philosophy (I assume it's still the case) - I need to update the k1 piston spring in my valve body to the new style and don't have the time to do this myself/desire to get under the car on my back.
