start acquiring gear now, a set of gloves there, a boot here, and new lid there, back protector here. before u know it, u will have everything... then u will have no excuse.
Do it all at once and it is prohibitively expensive, do it piece by piece and you wont even notice it.

I think a few of the guys are going to the July 4th event. I took off work for the 19th and 20th to go on those dates.

Last night, I was very pissed when i saw my good friend riding his cbr. he wears shirt and short. He came up to me. I did yell at him.
Me: DK? WTF are you doing? Squidfuck.
DK: (Laughing) It's too hot out here, man.
Me: So what? OK. Hospital will be your home forever if whatever happens to you.
DK: Haha Come on. Wanna go ride?
Me: Hell no. I don't want to see you get hurt on the road. Text me if you got gears on. I will be up to the mountain (leaving)

iv totalled 2 bikes.. i got hurt more wearing full leathers, boots, gloves, helmet. than i did wearing shorts and a hoodie at higher speeds.
and gear doesnt make you a better rider or a faster rider.. maybe smarter and safer(unless you hit sumthing) but thats the persons own choice to make... i bet i can out ride half if not most ppl on this forum wearing, shorts, t-shirt, my loffer dcs, no socks....
so fucking sick of hearing "o you a squid b.c you arent dieing from heat wearing leathers" get real.
