Way to be wrong Yes they are only a set of subframe connectors away from being "normal." Don't worry, I used to own an 04 gt so I know all to well how one dimensional this car is from the factory. I still wouldn't mind owning one in the future because corvettes are for senior citizens. (and I still can't afford to wreck a c5).

The irs blows. A lot of bandaid fixes are available but I would rather have a solid for both turning and going straight.

 

I keep getting more and more impressed with the new 5.0. I think we may see some N/A 500 rwhp 5.0's in the near future, without going into the motor. So far Amercan racing has made 32 hp just with their Long tubes and mid pipe, with no tuning.

couple those with a cold air intake, and you are in the upper 400's at the tire with 3 minor bolt ons!

 

I dunno. I was lucky enough to get a ride from a forum member once. He had a modded C5. Car looked amazing from the outside, fast as hell, all that, but the interior is really really bad. It's not like giving it a Ford level interior would raise the price all that much, GM just doesn't care. I'm not saying it's not a cool car, I'm just saying you have to admit that the interior is trash.

 

C6 is not a huge step up either, the interior materials felt more appropriate in a car in the mid 20's. Fabrics and plastics aren't such a big deal for me when you have 400 whatever horsepower though, the corvette is a bargain in the performance world and the costs are clearly trimmed somewhere.

 

I've actually driven a c6 z06, and during a run down the strip, the fucking glovebox popped open, then fell off!! The performance is impressive, I won't deny that, but in order to garner my respect, finish the damn car.
