proper valvetrain break-in period

Default proper valvetrain break-in period

anyone know how i should break in my new valvetrain? new cam/valvesprings/tit. retainers in a SOHC....

i need to know this too...also break-in period for a new engine with every single internal replaced (head and block) except the crank. also a SOHC

i found out...basically just let the car run for like 20 minutes or until the fan kicks on...if it holds together go ahead and drive it like normal and just lash the valves again after like 200 miles...

I KNOW HOW TO DO IT!!!

run the motor at about 2000rpm for about 10 min, then at 2500 for 10 min, then back to 1500 for about 10 min. then let it cool down and readjust the valves. that should do it.

thats how i break in my small blocks and ive never had a problem

really? i was told not to lash the valves if the head temp was over 100 degrees?

CHAHONDA...whats my break in supposed to be? SRP Pistons, Eagle Rods, Crower Cam, Ferra valves, crower springs/retainers.
